Anantha illam .

IHE supports Anantha illam Foundation and YLSDP in all monitoring, preparation of progress report, and links with donors.

CHRF-UK has been supporting this project since August 2012 to fund Anantha illam’s day to day activities. Special thanks to Mrs.Shatha Ganesanthan and Mr.Subramaiam Tharmendra of CHRF-Uk.

Humanitarian projects-

Well project.

IHE coordinated a project with CHRF _UK and Enfeild Nagapooshani Amman UK to build 26 wells for women headed families and needy persons. CHRF-UK donated 20 wells and Enfelid Nagapooshani Amman donated 6 wells. ZOA, a non Government Organization implemented the project in the North of Sri Lanka.

IHE is involved in various projects focused on developing Fine Arts, Music and Humanitarian Projects.Some of these projects are as follows.

Oriental Music Orchestra  (OMO) 2012

The overall objective of the “Oriental Music Orchestra” project is to bring talented youngsters from different ethnic groups of Sri Lanka i.e. Sinhala, Tamil, Muslim and Burgher artists, to perform together, respect each other’s culture, to have a better understanding, to develop their talents and to get the feeling of oneness. The 100 member orchestra had its inaugural performance on 6th March 2012 at New Kathireson Hall, Colombo -04 .

Donating cows

IHE coordinated with Shri Ponnambalwaneswara Devasthanam and donated around 80 cows to needy families. The beneficiary  selection and handing over was done by Oxfam Australia.
